P4M Enterprise Event

A great big THANK YOU from P4M for all the support from parents, families and the local community.   The donations of ingredients from Papdale Stores, Rendalls Bakery and Tesco were so much appreciated as were visits from all the folk who came into school to help us learn more about business.   We loved our sessions in the Home Economics Dept of KGS where Mrs. Maclean taught us how to make chutney and oreo truffles. Yum yum! We have raised £721.67 so far and still have money coming in.   Your generosity has been amazing.   Our two charities, Cancer Research UK and the children’s area of the new Balfour Hospital will be so delighted with the donations they will receive. We know you will want to hear about our competition winners so here goes… Snazzy Spices Quiz answers 1.      Chilli 2.      Cardamom 3.      Black pepper 4.      cloves 5.      Turmeric 6.      Ginger 7.      Cinnamon 8.      Nutmeg 9.      Star anise 10     Aniseed 11   fenugreek Winn

P4M went to the Home Economics department of KGS to make chutney and oreo truffles. Madaleine's mum is a teacher there. She taught us so much about chopping, measuring, packaging etc. We learnt lots and had fun too! Thank you Mrs MacLean

Two of P4M's businesses are launching in school this week. Quiz Kids have a great quiz for sale at £1.   Sunny Seeds have their "grow your own sunflower" kits at 50p. Both items will be for sale at breaktimes from Wednesday 23rd - Friday 25th May. All proceeds are going to Cancer Research UK and the children's area of the new Balfour Hospital. Thank you for supporting P4M.

P4M Lighthouse Challenge

Image
Today we had a challenge to make a model lighthouse. We had to add a working circuit to our lighthouses using a bulb, a battery, a switch and wires. We worked really hard with our partners and we all got our lighthouses working.

Harry's mum came to visit P4M to talk about how a business gets set up and goes into production. We all learnt how to make a seed kit which would grow into a sunflower. Good luck to Harry and Harvey with their Sunny Seeds Business Venture.
